CRM & Email
Turn retail and marketplace shoppers into named Cordial contacts, so your cross-channel marketing reaches more buyers than ever before.
About the integration
With Brij, Cordial journeys stop running on DTC behavior alone and start running on every purchase, no matter the channel.
Cordial is a cross-channel marketing platform built for brands that want their customer data and their messaging in the same place. It pairs a CDP-style profile store with email, SMS, mobile app, and web messaging, so teams can build segments, orchestrate journeys, and personalize at the individual level without maintaining a separate data layer. Founded in San Diego, it's used by consumer and retail brands including Johnston & Murphy.

WHY INTEGRATE

If most of your volume moves through wholesale, retail, or a marketplace, your Cordial contact list reflects a fraction of the people actually buying you. Brij closes that gap at the product itself: a shopper scans a QR code on the packaging or insert, registers the item, and becomes a named contact with a verified email address and marketing consent. Those contacts land in Cordial the same way any other contact does, ready for the journeys your team already built. For a brand where wholesale is the majority of the business, that's the difference between marketing to a slice of your customers and marketing to all of them.
Read More →A contact with nothing behind it can only get generic messaging. Brij's registration event carries the purchase with it: place of purchase, purchase date, product and SKU number, warranty duration, scan location, and explicit email and SMS consent. In Cordial those become attributes you can segment and trigger on, so a customer who bought at REI gets different messaging than one who bought on Amazon, and a two-year warranty window can drive its own reorder timing. Because the customer declared this information at registration, it's more reliable than anything modeled or inferred.

HOW-TO GUIDE
Follow the steps below to get started.
In Cordial, generate a private API key and give it all permissions except “Delete.” Brij recommends including “Brij” in the key name so it’s easy to identify later.
In Brij, go to Settings → Integrations. Under CRM, enable “Automatically Create User Profiles in CRM” and select Cordial from the dropdown.
Paste your Cordial API key into Brij and click Save. Once connected, Brij can create or update Cordial customer profiles when a customer submits the Purchase Details form during registration.
What data does Brij send to Cordial?
▾Email address, first and last name, phone number, and explicit email and SMS consent flags. Alongside those, Brij passes the purchase context — place of purchase, purchase date, product and SKU number, warranty duration and expiry, registration method, and scan location down to city and postal code.
When does a contact sync to Cordial?
▾On Registration Submission, when the customer submits the purchase details form inside a Brij experience.
Can a Cordial journey trigger off a Brij QR scan?
▾Yes. The event includes the experience name and title, so you can build a segment or trigger around the specific product experience a customer engaged with instead of treating every registration the same.
Does the Cordial integration work outside the US?
▾Yes. Brij routes a single QR code to country-specific experiences, so you can collect different fields under GDPR than you do in the US, and Cordial receives each contact with the consent that was actually granted in that market.
