CRM & Email
Turn retail and marketplace buyers into SMS subscribers in Postscript.
About the integration
Consent captured at the shelf becomes a Postscript subscriber, and an opt-out in Brij removes them from Postscript too.
Postscript is an SMS marketing platform built exclusively for Shopify brands, founded in 2018. It handles the full subscriber lifecycle, from opt-in tools and segmentation to campaigns, automation flows, and two-way conversational messaging, with TCPA compliance safeguards built into the product. Brands including Brooklinen, Ruggable, and Dr. Squatch use it to make text their primary revenue channel.

Opt-outs sync back, so your list stays clean
WHY INTEGRATE

Postscript's opt-in tools live on your Shopify store: popups, onsite opt-in, checkout collection. That works for traffic you already own, and it misses the shopper who bought your product at Target and never visited your site. Brij captures that shopper at the moment they scan the QR on your package or start a rebate, phone number and SMS consent included. Those subscribers land in Postscript automatically, tagged so you can tell them apart from your DTC list.
Read More →A rebate is the highest-consent moment you get: the shopper wants the money, so they hand over a phone number and agree to hear from you. Brij creates the Postscript subscriber the moment a rebate starts rather than after the payout, so you keep the contact whether or not they finish the claim. When someone texts STOP to a Brij rebate campaign, that opt-out goes to Postscript as well, so a customer who walked away never gets marketed to again.

HOW-TO GUIDE
Follow the steps below to get started.
Create a Brij experience that collects phone numbers with SMS marketing consent.
In Postscript, go to Account Settings → API → Create Security Key Pair, create a key labeled for Brij, and copy the private key
Brij → Automations → New Automation, choose Postscript, authenticate with the API key, choose any experience/module filters, and enable the three recommended triggers. Then click save.

What data does Brij send to Postscript?
▾Phone number and email address, along with the SMS marketing consent the customer gave in the Brij experience. Postscript receives subscriber records rather than purchase events, so retailer, SKU, and basket data stay in Brij and your event-level integrations.
When does a subscriber sync to Postscript?
▾In real time, on Rebate Initiation or Registration Submission, and only when the customer submitted a phone number with SMS marketing consent. If consent is missing, nothing is sent.
Does Brij handle SMS double opt-in?
▾Postscript does. Brij passes the single opt-in consent captured in the experience, and Postscript automatically texts every new subscriber asking them to reply Y to confirm before marketing messages start.
What do I need to set up the Postscript integration?
▾A private API key from Postscript, created under Account Settings → API, and at least one live Brij experience that collects phone numbers with marketing consent. You also need to match Postscript's TCPA-approved consent language exactly in your Brij opt-in text. Setup runs through Automations in Brij with no developer work.
